In this advice note the IAEP states the following:</p><p> </p><p><em>“The view of the Expert Panel is that the level of risk from unsafe HPL systems is not as high a risk as unsafe systems using ACM Category 3 panels. Therefore, the Expert Panel remains clear that the immediate removal of unsafe systems using ACM Category 3 panels should be an absolute priority of focus for building owners and the sector, followed by immediate action to remediate unsafe HPL systems. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/07/2019 answer text <p>The data collection exercise launched on 18 July 2019 is part of an ongoing programme of work to enable the Department to build a more complete picture of high-rise residential buildings and the variety of external wall systems in use Government is collecting data on all external wall systems. The Government is collecting data on all external wall systems on residential buildings 18 metres and above, covering private and social (both local authority and housing association) stock, hotels and student accommodation. This exercise covers private and social (both local authority and housing association) stock, hotels and student accommodation.</p><p>The Government requests that local authorities and housing associations complete the data collection by 31 March 2020. We have published a technical note (18 July) to aid local authorities and housing associations in identifying the details of external wall systems. We are aiming to provide financial support to local authorities in the form of New Burdens funding.
