star this property answer text <p>Electronic counting is used in only a small number of polls. However, in considering<br>whether to extend the use of electronic counting, we would need to take into account the<br>cost, accuracy and integrity of adopting it more widely. In previous polls electronic counting<br>has been more expensive and has not been as quick as expected in some circumstances</p><p>We therefore currently have no plans to further its use.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The May 2018 voter ID pilot schemes are part of a programme of reform that will enhance<br>public confidence in our elections and strengthen electoral integrity. The opportunity to<br>pilot voter ID in May 2018 was offered to all local authorities in Great Britain and on 16<br>September we announced that Woking, Gosport, Bromley and Watford have committed to<br>do so. In addition, Tower Hamlets will be piloting measures to improve the integrity of the<br>postal vote process.</p> more like this
