star this property answer text <p>In England, Local Authorities are responsible for enforcing the Welfare of Animals (Transport) (England) Order 2006 (WATEO). Local Authorities will take prosecution action when serious welfare issues relating to the transport of live animals have been identified.</p><p> </p><p>As action is taken by individual Local Authorities, we do not hold specific data as to whether the action was taken against a transporter exporting live animals.</p><p> </p><p>We do have data on the number of successful convictions in England and Wales made under WATEO and the equivalent legislation in Wales each year, which is published in the “Return of expenditure incurred and prosecutions taken under the Animal Health Act 1981 and incidences of disease in imported animals” presented each year to Parliament. We are exploring various options to achieve these aims.</p><p> </p><p>The Agriculture Bill will deliver a range of reforms and move away from the constraints and bureaucracy of the Common Agricultural Policy. The Government plans to engage widely ahead of its introduction and will endeavour to take every opportunity to listen to the views of members and peers, as well as public and stakeholder consultation.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>As announced in the Queen’s Speech, we intend to introduce an Agriculture Bill in this parliamentary session. This Bill will support a thriving and self-reliant farming sector and deliver on the manifesto commitment to provide stability for farmers as we leave the European Union. The Three-Crop Rule is the type of well-meaning but ineffective rule that we want to review in favour of better environmental outcomes.</p><p> </p><p>The Government plans to consult ahead of the introduction of the Agriculture Bill. While the United Kingdom remains within the EU domestic prices will be similarly affected. star this property answer text <p>In 2014 Defra has established a formal programme, the UnITy programme, to implement Government guidance on exiting large IT contracts. It will replace Defra’s current IBM and Capgemini IT contracts with a more disaggregated supply chain. Defra’s approach is consistent with the recent Government Commercial Function guidance on Exiting Major IT Contracts.</p><p> </p><p>Market engagement events have taken place for each procurement, in advance of issuing ‘calls for competition’. The UnITy programme has been set up with formal governance. The programme also has a rigorous approach to risk management and risks are reviewed at its Programme Board. Each workstream that underpins UnITy develops a transition plan with the future service provider and the exiting suppliers. <strong> </strong>Defra has undertaken a review of the capabilities it requires in the future and mapped this against its existing capabilities.</p><p><strong> </strong></p> more like this

The figures will cover the preceding calendar year and, for dogs that leave the sport each year, the details will include by what method. The GBGB will begin publishing both sets of figures by the end of March 2018.
