star this property answer text <p>The Government’s wide-ranging consultation on domestic abuse closed last Thursday. The consultation asked for views on the proposed Domestic Abuse Protection Order – including whether breach of the order should be criminalised. We are analysing more than 3,200 responses received from survivors of domestic abuse, frontline professionals, experts from the domestic abuse sector and academics.</p><p>As announced in the Queen’s Speech, the Government remain committed to bringing forward a draft Bill this Session.</p> more like this

star this property answer text In March this year, the Government announced its intention to commence Section 36 of the Equality Act 2010 in its response to the Women and Equalities Select Committee report on disability and the built environment. The announcement made clear that further work on identifying and assessing any additional burdens on local authorities is first required before a commencement date can be given. We hope to make an announcement on timing of commencement of Section 36 of the Equality Act 2010 as soon as possible. more like this
