star this property answer text <p>The Mental Health Services Data Set does not capture this information. Therefore, the attached data is from the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) dataset only.</p><p> </p><p>IAPT is run by the National Health Service in England and offers National Institute for Health and Care Excellence-approved therapies for treating people with anxiety and depression. Data about the IAPT programme is available from April 2012 and it is therefore not possible to provide data for years prior to this.</p><p> </p><p>The IAPT dataset records whether a referral is for a patient who has been a member of the British Armed Forces (BAF). It is not possible to identify the type of Armed Forces Service that the patient belonged to, or whether the patient was a regular or reserve veteran.</p><p> </p><p>The number of referrals for ex-BAF personnel that have been received, entered treatment and finished a course of treatment for all years up to 2017-18, grouped by the type of diagnosis problem, submitted as an ICD-10 code, are displayed in the attached tables.</p><p> </p><p>NHS Digital does not hold any further information about ex-BAF personnel with mental health problems. Changes to the figures over time should be interpreted in the context of improvements in data quality and coverage and changes in NHS practice. For example, changes in activity may be due to changes in the provision of care.</p>

star this property answer text <p>Expenditure on children and young people’s mental health and children and young people’s eating disorders is tracked in the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health Dashboard, which is available at the following link:</p><p> </p><p><a href="https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/mental-health-five-year-forward-view-dashboard/" target="_blank">https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/mental-health-five-year-forward-view-dashboard/</a></p><p> </p><p>However this information is not broken down to show information on expenditure for Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.</p><p> </p><p>For 2016/17 in Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) the actual spend on children and young people’s mental health, excluding learning disabilities and eating disorders, was £4.178 million and for eating disorders was £143,000. For 2017/18 in Barnsley CCG the planned spend on children and young people’s mental health, excluding learning disabilities and eating disorders, is £4.3 million and for eating disorders it is £143,000. Information for 2015/16 is not available.</p><p> </p><p>Funding for Barnsley council to deliver services is through the local government finance settlement; this is generally un-ring fenced resource to deliver a range of services including social care.</p>

However, we can confirm that in 2017/18 NHS England had a contract with Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust to provide the Veteran Mental Health Transition, Intervention and Liaison Service (TILS) in the North region, which includes South Yorkshire. The value of this contract in 2017/18 was £806,000.</p><p> </p><p>Overall, approximately half of the £6.4 million allocated to NHS England in 2017/18 was spent on TILS, and half on veterans’ mental health complex treatment services.</p> more like this
