	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/09/2015 answer text <p>Large investment funds effectively comprise the investments of individuals, whether via their pension funds, insurance contracts, or other savings and investment products. The decision to invest in companies’ shares directly, or indirectly through a fund, is a matter for individual investors.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government has taken a variety of steps to encourage individual saving, and retail investment in shares in particular. For example, we have:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>- Reduced the starting rate of income tax for savings;</p><p> </p><p>- Increased the maximum annual amount which can be invested in an Individual Savings Account (ISA) to £15,240 in the 2015-16 tax year, and provided savers with greater flexibility to withdraw their money and put it back in to an ISA within the same year, without losing their tax benefits;</p><p> </p><p>- Introduced, from April 2016, a new tax-free Personal Savings Allowance of £1,000 (or £500 for higher rate taxpayers) of interest earned on savings (taking 95 per cent of taxpayers out of savings tax altogether) as well as a new £5,000 tax-free dividend allowance for all taxpayers;</p><p> </p><p>- Allowed shares from growth markets such as the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) to be held in ISAs - making investment in the growth markets easier;</p><p> </p><p>- Abolished stamp duty on AIM shares, attracting further investment into growing companies and reducing the cost of raising capital for those companies.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p> answering member constituency Grantham and Stamford answering member printed Nick Boles question first answered 17/09/2015 10:09:22 answering member 3995 label Biography information for Nick Boles

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/09/2015 answer text <p>The ProtecT randomised controlled trial is evaluating the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and acceptability of active monitoring, radical 3D conformal radiotherapy and radical prostatectomy in men with clinically localised prostate cancer, identified through population-based PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) testing.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>There have already been over 100 published outputs from ProtecT and these are listed on the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) website:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>www.nets.nihr.ac.uk/projects/hta/962099</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The researchers plan to publish the primary and most secondary analyses during 2016 at major relevant conferences and in peer-reviewed journals. The primary outcome to be evaluated is definite or probable prostate cancer specific mortality at a median of 10 years following randomisation. A monograph covering these findings is expected to be published in the NIHR Journals Library in July 2017. However, we have concerns regarding the drafting of the new legislation on religious conversion, which could be interpreted in a way that would limit people’s rights to express their religion and, potentially, their right to choose their religion.</p><p>Our Embassy in Kathmandu has consistently encouraged the Government of Nepal and members of Nepal’s parliament to ensure Nepal meets its international human rights obligations. This includes ensuring the protection of the right to change religion. My officials have met with representatives from religious minorities to better understand their concerns. My predecessor, My. Hon Friend the member for Reading West (Mr Sharma), also discussed human rights with Nepali Foreign Minister Mahat at the UN on 22 September 2016.
