star this property answer text <p>The government continues to encourage more people to go online, so they can access the guidance and services they need – as well as reducing the cost of public services.</p><p> </p><p>The department has continued to reduce its paper consumption. This has been achieved through activity such as introducing a managed print service and continuing programmes of transformation and improvement within the department to reduce our reliance on paper.</p><p> </p><p>In March 2019 we launched the department’s first digital end-to-end solution, the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS), which has received over 3.5 million online applications.</p><p> </p><p>Details of the department’s performance in reducing its paper consumption were published in the Greening Government Commitments Annual Report – April 2018 to March 2019.</p><p> </p><p>https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/greening-government-commitments-2018-to-2019-annual-report</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The current processing of overseas visa applications is mainly carried out on the Proviso caseworking IT system. The Department continues to review the effectiveness of this system to ensure it provides a robust platform from which applications can be concluded within UKVI’s existing customer service standards.</p><p>The Department has already begun to transition overseas visa applications from Proviso to ATLAS for example on the Hong Kong British National (Overseas) (BNO) and Ukrainian Scheme routes. ATLAS is replacing the in-country IT system ‘CID’, and has provided efficiencies in processing applications from the Access UK online application service, enabling automated and integrated security checks, increased caseworking flexibility and the creation of a fully Digital Immigration Status for individuals.</p><p>The full movement of all overseas cases on-to ATLAS is scheduled over the course of the next three years”.</p> more like this

Ministers receive support and expert advice to help them meet their obligations in the most appropriate and secure fashion. star this property answer text <p>Increasingly since 2023, applications to remain in the United Kingdom have been processed on the new caseworking system, Atlas.</p><p>It is a complex system that has many integrated services such as security checking, sending notifications to applicants, triggering the production of BRP cards or creation of digital status. Whilst there have been some issues encountered as Atlas has been developed, no systemic issues have been identified that have caused concerns to be raised with the third-party IT suppliers helping develop and support Atlas.</p><p>Most technical issues are resolved within days.</p> more like this
