We are on track to do this.</p><p>The number resettled in a particular period will depend on a range of factors. This includes the number of referrals we have received from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the number of confirmed places we have received from local authorities that are suitable for the specific needs of those who have been accepted for resettlement. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/04/2016 answer text <p>We are clear that our scheme will prioritise the most vulnerable refugees, and that is why under the VPR scheme the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) identifies refugees for resettlement using its established vulnerability criteria. These include persons at risk due to their sexual orientation or gender identity.</p><p>We are working with UNHCR and other partners to intensify their outreach to groups that might otherwise be reluctant to register for fear of stigma/discrimination and unaware of the safe space and options available to them. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/04/2016 answer text <p>At the Spending Review, the Chancellor announced an estimated £460 million over the spending review period to cover the first 12 months’ costs for each of the 20,000 refugees being resettled in the UK under the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Scheme. He also announced an estimated £129 million to assist with local authority costs for years two to five of each refugee’s stay in the UK.
