star this property answer text <p>Section.28 is one of the Special Measures introduced under the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999. It was commenced for vulnerable witnesses under 16 year olds and those lacking mental or physical capacity in Kingston upon Thames, Liverpool and Leeds Crown Court Centres in December 2013. This was extended to under 18 year olds in January 2017, and will be rolled out nationally for all vulnerable witnesses in a phased approach from this autumn. We are also testing s.28 for certain eligible intimidated victims of sexual offences and modern slavery in Kingston upon Thames, Liverpool and Leeds Crown Court Centres this autumn.</p> more like this
