star this property answer text <p>Official Development Assistance (ODA) is an international standard used to measure aid flows to developing countries. Spend classified as ODA must meet the definition and rules that are set and governed by the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC). All UK ODA spending is classified according to the ODA rules set by the OECD's Development Assistance Committee. This Government is committed to restoring ODA spending at the level of 0.7 per cent of GNI as soon as fiscal circumstances allow. The Government will set out its approach to the House in due course.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Aid Transparency remains a high priority for my department. The FCDO has returned to monthly publication of aid programme data and documents, following global best practice. Furthermore, we have delivered our ambitious Open Government Partnership National Action Plan 5 commitments and a new plan for the current year has been co-created with Civil Society. Additionally, ICAI's recent follow-up to their Review into Aid Transparency judges that adequate progress has been made against each of their four recommendations. FCDO also advocates for greater transparency in the aid spending of other donors, recently attending the 2024 International Aid Transparency Initiative's Members' Assembly.</p> more like this

The White Paper on International Development commits us to spending £1 billion on humanitarian need in 2024-25.</p><p>The UK's humanitarian spending figures for three years will not be available until after the end of 2024-25.</p> more like this
