Statutory guidance for local authorities and National<br>Health Service organisations was published in March 2015 to support the adult<br>autism strategy’s implementation.</p><p /><p /> <p> </p><p /><p /> <p>We are currently reviewing the cross-Government autism<br>strategy and extending it to include children and young people. The joint declaration on post-diagnostic dementia care and support is an unequivocal joint commitment between the Government, health, social care, and the third sector to improve care and support for people with dementia.</ins></strong></p><p> </p><p><strong><ins class="ministerial">Local clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) are responsible for services and support for people with dementia. NHS England has produced a number of resources for commissioners, service providers and health, care and support staff focused on ensuring equality in end of life care. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/01/2019 answer text <p><strong></strong>The Department funds research on health and social care through the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). NIHR welcomes funding applications for research into any aspect of human health, including heart attacks in women. It is not usual practice to ring-fence funds for particular topics or conditions.</p><p> </p><p>There have been 28 studies directly funded by the NIHR relating to heart attacks (myocardial infarction) in the last five financial years, from 2013/14 to 2017/18, all with female participants, including a randomised controlled trial investigating the prevention of cardiac toxicity in breast cancer patients. Additionally, over the same period, there has been support through NIHR Clinical Research Networks for 23 studies investigating heart attacks all of which included female participants, with a total expenditure of £1.9 million. The British Women’s Heart and Health Study, which commenced in 2009, was directly funded by the NIHR and specifically looked at heart disease in women.</p><p> </p><p>Preventing and managing cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a priority for NHS England, as indicated by the inclusion of CVD in the NHS Long Term Plan. CVD prevention is also a key theme in NHS England’s Five Year Forward View and their NHS RightCare programme. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/04/2019 answer text <p>A Serious Shortage Protocol is an additional tool to manage and mitigate medication shortages and may be used in the exceptional and rare situation when other measures have been exhausted or are likely to be ineffective.</p><p> </p><p>As the explanatory memorandum of the amending Statutory Instrument acknowledges, Protocols for therapeutic or generic equivalents will not be suitable for all medicines and patients. For example, those types of protocols would not be suitable for treatments for epilepsy or treatments requiring biological products where the medicines that are prescribed need to be prescribed by brand for clinical reasons. Additional EU exit-related workstreams are being taken forward in other parts of the department. It is not possible to break down the proportion of overall time spent within these teams on no deal scenarios specifically.</p><p> </p><p>On 18 December 2018, the Cabinet agreed to proceed with the Government’s next phase of no deal planning. Preparing for no deal is now an operational priority for the Government.
