Ministers will correspond directly with the Member.</del></p><p><ins class="ministerial">We regularly press the Government of Zimbabwe on the importance of fulfilling their responsibilities to all those who are entitled to a Zimbabwe Government pension. In 2016, we secured written confirmation from the Government of Zimbabwe of their responsibility for these payments. In April 2019, we raised the issue of pensions with Finance Minister Ncube and he confirmed Zimbabwe's commitment to resume payments when the economic situation allows.</ins></p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>While we have received repeated assurances from the Zimbabwean Government that they will resume payment of pensions when the economic situation allows, we remain concerned. The Zimbabwean Government is facing an array of challenges economically. Regrettably, we therefore do not see these pensions being paid in the near future. We will, however, continue to raise the matter with the Government of Zimbabwe and the UK's Ambassador to Harare will press to discuss the issue with the Minister of Finance as soon as possible.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The 1995 agreement continues to be used to manage migration flows between France and the UK. It enables the return of illegal migrants seeking to irregularly enter both the UK and France.</p><p>The agreement is invoked when an individual without leave in either the UK or France seeks to enter via the Eurotunnel or Channel Port, when we can clearly indicate the time of embarkation and the individual does not claim asylum at the port.</p><p>We continue to work with France on this global migration crisis. We are aiming for solutions to collectively address the wide range of factors associated with migrant movements across Europe and the Channel.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>This Government is working hard to support places as they recover from the impact of Covid-19. The first week of September has seen footfall increase on UK high streets by 2.6 percent, and between 22 June 2020 and 8 September 2020, retail footfall in Greater London has increased by 20 percentage points <em>(source: Springboard).</em></p><p> </p><p>There is also a daily publication of transport data relating to London available on gov.uk.
