The Renters’ Rights Bill will replace section 21 ‘no fault’ evictions with a modern tenancy system, giving renters greater security and protections.</p><p> </p><p>The Government welcomes private investment into housing, and new tenures in the private rented sector such as those offered by Build to Rent providers. These can provide tenants with greater stability and more choice. The Department will continue to engage – and work – with the Build to Rent sector to understand their needs in the process of designing any regulation.</p><p> </p><p>The department will publish an impact assessment for the Renters' Rights Bill in due course. One of the outputs from the investigation was to ensure safety bars were present on all buggies. Network Rail found that the design of the bars caused issues for some passengers getting on and off the buggies. Therefore, Network Rail replaced them with the newly designed safety bars which allows more of the bar to be pushed back into its housing, resulting in more space for passengers to get on and off.</p><p> </p><p>The cost of installing the original bars and then replacing them with the new bars was £2617.20 excluding VAT. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/06/2021 answer text <p>Football clubs form a vital part of their local communities, which is why the Government has provided significant support to lower tier clubs throughout the pandemic.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Many football clubs have benefited from the Government’s multi-billion pound package of cross-sector business support whilst Sport England has provided £220 million directly to support community sport clubs and exercise centres through this pandemic, via a range of funds including their £35 million Community Emergency Fund. The Government has also provided over £24 million of support to non-league clubs from the Sport Survival Package.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Government will continue to support local football clubs through its £18 million annual investment via the Football Foundation, alongside The Football Association and the Premier League, into football facilities. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/02/2020 answer text <p>Secure Children’s Homes provide specialist care in a secure environment for vulnerable children and young people aged between 10 and 17. They offer care for young people who have either been remanded or sentenced by the courts or detained for their own welfare or to ensure the safety of others. Local authorities are responsible for making sure places are available for their looked-after children and we are working with them to ensure the children’s homes system is joined up at a national level.</p><p>We recognise that there are only a small number of Secure Children’s Homes and that is why we are expanding provision available in England through our £40 million capital programme. We established and continue to fund the Secure Welfare Coordination Unit to help plan and coordinate placements based on individual needs. In addition, we provided funding to local and combined authorities to commission feasibility studies into opening new secure provision to increase available capacity.</p><p>More broadly, we are working across government to ensure we are aligned on key issues relevant to the broader children’s secure estate, including youth custody and mental health provision. We are committed to reforming youth custody so that it is safer for both young people and staff and better equipped to help young people turn their lives around.</p><p> </p><p>Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Prisons' inspection took place from 23 January to 3 February 2017. The findings highlighted a need for improvement in the youth custodial estate and we are continuing to take robust action to address the issues identified. At Feltham A, which holds boys aged 15 to 18, we have implemented a range of measures to improve safety including:</p><ul><li>We are recruiting additional staff at Feltham as part of our overall reform to improve safety and rehabilitation.</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>We are providing young people with a personalised officer to work with on a weekly basis to develop goal-orientated plans, delivered as part of the Custody Support Plan roll-out.</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>We are progressing with a conflict resolution model to resolve issues between young people in our care.</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>We are putting in place a revised core day which will facilitate nine hours out of room to effectively occupy the young people in our care.</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>We continue to deliver a suite of group and one to one interventions and facilitators have now been trained in Anger Replacement therapy which will be delivered to young people</li></ul><p>starting in July 2017.</p><p> </p><ul><li>A new approach to the use of special accommodation has been introduced with the use of a cool down room with appropriate furnishings as an alternative intervention to separation.</li></ul><p> </p><p>In addition, funding has been allocated for the refurbishment of the Enhanced Support Unit for young people with exceptionally complex needs that are unlikely to respond to mainstream services.</p><p>We are confident that we are taking proper and considered action in delivering changes to improve safety and outcomes for the young people in our care at HMP Feltham.</p> answering member printed Lord Keen of Elie question first answered 20/07/2017 15:18:55 answering member 4538 label Biography information for Lord Keen of Elie
