	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/06/2015 answer text <p>International standards on anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing (AML and CTF), including regulation and supervision of financial institutions, are set by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) of which the UK is a member. The Caribbean Overseas Territories (OTs) are members of the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) and as such have signed up to implement the FATF standards. They are also subject to mutual evaluations of their AML/CTF regimes through this body. The UK Government continues to engage actively with the OTs to encourage them to make improvements to their AML and CTF regimes in line with the international standards and the UK’s approach. In 2016 alone, the British public donated around £10 billion to charitable causes and 73% of people gave money in an average month. This is a level of generosity that deserves to be celebrated. To help build a compassionate country that works for everyone, this Government will make it as easy and compelling as possible for people to give.</p><p> </p><p>The Government currently offers several schemes to incentivise higher-rate taxpayers to give. Tax relief is offered when donations are made through Gift Aid, when donating land, property, shares, or if gifts are left to charity in a will. Relief is also available for any individual or company who donates cultural artefacts through the Cultural Gift Scheme.</p><p> </p><p>At the Giving Roundtables held in 2016, the Government heard about opportunities to increase charitable giving by higher-rate taxpayers. Further announcements about those opportunities will follow.</p><p>The £4m Libraries: Opportunities for Everyone innovation fund, managed by Arts Council England on behalf of DCMS, was set up to pilot library service projects that provide benefit disadvantaged people and places in England. Coaching courses and participation fees are for sports to manage, but as set out in the government's sport strategy Sporting Future, we should ensure that opportunities to engage in sport and physical activity are as inclusive and accessible as possible</p><p> </p><p>Sport England published its new coaching plan “Coaching in an Active Nation: The Coaching Plan for England” earlier this year, setting out a key objective of making it easier to become a coach. An important part of that is reducing the costs of entry. For example, one intermediary organisation has in turn provided training to over 300 community leaders, has established a forum and is conducting research to support the craft industry.</p><p> </p><p>The establishment of the new trade association for social enterprises in Ethiopia is directly attributed to UK inspiration, taking lessons from Social Enterprise UK. UK sector expertise has been deployed to support policy training for policy makers, sharing best practice including UK Government initiatives such as the Social Value Act. The implementation of the British Council’s Business Investment Readiness (BIR) programme aims to strengthen 60 social enterprises in Ethiopia, providing support to enhance and scale the impact of their work. BIR facilitates collaboration between a social enterprise and social investment intermediary organisations in the UK.</p><p>The 2019 Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) will provide multiple opportunities to showcase to global policy-makers, academic, international development actors and corporates how the UK has supported Ethiopia’s growing social enterprise movement. These are available on the government website (2017 - <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/dcms-sectors-economic-estimates-2017-gva" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/dcms-sectors-economic-estimates-2017-gva</a>).</p><p>In 2017 the gross value added (GVA) of the creative industries was £101.5 billion, up from £66.3 billion in 2010. This represents a 53.1% increase, compared to the 29.7% increase in the rest of the economy over the same period. When viewed as a percentage of the UK’s entire GVA, the creative industries now make up 5.5% of the UK’s total GVA, a 53.1% increase since 2010.</p><p>DCMS measure the design sector under the broader category of &quot;design and designer fashion&quot;. In 2017 these sectors contributed £3.95 billion to the economy, up from £1.97 billion in 2010.
