star this property answer text

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Command of the National
Crime Agency (NCA) is the UK's national law enforcement agency committed to
tackling the sexual abuse of children in both the online and offline
environments - with the principal aim of identifying, locating and safeguarding
children and young people from harm.

Government funding for the CEOP Command of the NCA was £6.381million in
2012/13. The work of the CEOP Command in tackling the proliferation of indecent images of
children is of utmost importance and that is why we have protected its budget.

In addition, every officer in the NCA, which has over 4000 people, has a legal
duty to safeguard children and promote child welfare. The NCA's UK and global
reach is extensive, with officers stationed in over 40 countries overseas to
ensure our international partners are working alongside us to tackle the abuse
of children.

Police forces also investigate online child abuse, safeguard the victims and
prosecute the perpetrators. The resources allocated to this work in each force
is a matter for the Chief Constable and their Police and Crime Commissioner.

Further detail can be found on the UNHCR website: UNHCR UK Information and Links on Afghanistan Situation - UNHCR United Kingdom

We will continue to receive referrals to the scheme in coming years.

The pace of actual arrivals will depend on a range of factors including the flow of referrals from UNHCR and the availability of suitable accommodation and support in the UK. As with existing and previous resettlement schemes, we will manage flows based on need and in support of the wellbeing of the people and communities involved.

Those referred will be assessed for resettlement by UNHCR using their established processes.

The framework outlines an overarching vision for palliative and end of life care for both children and adults, and includes six ambitions, all with building blocks, to make that vision a reality. A copy of the framework is attached.

The framework emphasises the importance of local decision-making and delivery and encourages commissioners to work with partners to improve palliative and end of life care across the local system.

To support delivery of the ambitions, a new online only ‘knowledge hub’ has been developed containing resources, tools and case studies for both commissioners and professionals, including commissioning guidelines.

NHS England also expects clinical commissioning groups to commission services in accordance with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines End of life care for infants, children and young people with life-limiting conditions: planning and management, which includes details on the planning and management of end of life and palliative care for infants, children and young people. star this property answer text
The UK stands ready to formalise our association to Horizon Europe at the earliest opportunity. At the recent EU-UK Specialised Committee the EU confirmed they were unwilling to move on UK association due to broader political issues. We continue to push the EU, by whatever means possible, to formalise our association but the EU is not living up to the commitments it made in 2020.

We recognise that delays by the EU have led to uncertainty for researchers, businesses and innovators based in the UK, including British Universities. To provide reassurance the Government has guaranteed funding for the first wave of eligible, successful applicants to Horizon Europe.

Given the EU’s persistence in delaying our association, it is only right and responsible that we are prepared for all outcomes, including one where we are not able to associate. Our priority is to support UK researchers and provide immediate stability and continuity for the sector. To this end, we are developing a coherent, compelling and high-quality programme to provide the fellowships, collaborations and industry engagement so valued in Horizon.

The most important factor, as recognised by Ofsted, in supporting the best outcomes for all pupils with and without SEND, is the quality of teaching.
