	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/11/2021 answer text <p>The Home Office collects and publishes data on the number of motoring offences in the ‘Police Powers and Procedures, England and Wales’ statistical bulletin, which can be accessed at: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/police-powers-and-procedures-england-and-wales. However, information on numbers and types of vehicle seized is not held centrally.</p><p>The Government does not have any plans to regulate the purchase of e-scooters. It is not illegal to sell an e-scooter, however under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 there is a general obligation for traders to give consumers sufficient information about goods and services at the point of sale, so consumers are not misled. The Government is currently considering the best approach to ensuring appropriate information about the use of e-scooters is given to consumers at the point of sale.</p><p>Legislation was amended in July 2020 to allow for rental e-scooter trials in 32 selected Local Authority areas, which will run until 31 March 2022. These trials will assess the safety of e-scooters for their users and other road user groups, whether their potential benefits can be realised, and identify other road impacts to be addressed through future legislation.</p><p> </p><p>The police can deal with illegal e-scooter use by fixed penalty notices and penalty points for no insurance, ‘not in accordance’ or riding on pavement offences. Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 provides the power to seize privately owned e-scooters for driving without insurance or a driving licence. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/05/2020 answer text <p>The UK is an active permanent member of the United Nations Security Council Working Group on Children and Armed Conflict (CAAC), which leads the international response to violations committed against children in conflict. These violations include: the recruitment and use of children, sexual violence against children, killing and maiming of children, abduction, attacks on schools and hospitals and the denial of humanitarian access to children in conflict.</p><p>The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) updated its guidance on Overseas Security and Justice Assistance (OSJA) in 2017 by written ministerial statement. Since then, information on its implementation has been included in the FCO's Annual Human Rights and Democracy Report. The OSJA guidance applies to issues of international humanitarian law as well as human rights risks. As part of implementation of the OSJA guidance, Her Majesty's Government missions pool expertise from a range of sources including civil society partners and international organisations, according to the situation in the country concerned. This includes relevant UN sources of expertise.</p><p>The UN CAAC Working Group focuses on responding to the UN Secretary-General's annual report on CAAC which lists governments and armed groups for committing grave violations against children. As a member of the group, the UK applies diplomatic pressure to listed parties to enter into concrete UN action plans to verify and release any children associated with armed groups and forces, to prevent re-recruitment and ensure the provision of appropriate reintegration and rehabilitation assistance. However, the Department recognises the need to develop servicing skills to support the UK’s transition to these vehicles. With regards to electric vehicles, the 2020 Vision for English Apprenticeships supports an industry-led approach to skills training that allows employers to lead on new apprenticeship standards. The establishment of the employer-led Institute for Apprenticeships and the introduction of an employer levy fund provides an opportunity for these sectors to shape the development of training programmes to meet the skills needs they have identified.</p><p> </p><p>It is too early to develop a training, licensing, and accreditation scheme for automated vehicles. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/12/2014 answer text <p>We are advised by NHS England that the Improving Quality in Physiological Services programme, run jointly by the United Kingdom of Accreditation Service (UKAS) and the Royal College of Physicians (RCP), is raising the profile of accreditation and quality assurance schemes for physiological diagnostic services. A mapping exercise is underway to identify those services which are accredited or working towards accreditation which is an integral improvement step on the pathway to full accreditation as a mark of quality. To date audiology services are making good progress towards accreditation.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Commissioning of accredited services is considered good practice and should be encouraged. UKAS and RCP are supporting the NHS England business objective to increase the use of accreditation. Information about those services which have achieved accreditation is publicly available on the UKAS website.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>All hospital providers of audiology services are registered with the Care Quality Commission and information on their monitoring and inspections is freely available online.
