	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/07/2019 answer text <p>On 1 April 2013, clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) replaced primary care trusts (PCTs) as the primary commissioner of National Health Service services in England.</p><p>Unlike PCTs, CCGs are clinically led, and so are better able to use clinical expertise to assess and prioritise those treatments that provide the safest and most effective outcomes for their population. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/07/2019 answer text <p>The allocation of funding to clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) to support them in commissioning services for their local population is one of the key duties of NHS England. The approach NHS England must take in setting allocations is outlined in the mandate from the Department which says:</p><p><em> </em></p><p>“The Government expects the principle of ensuring equal access for equal need to be at the heart of NHS England’s approach to allocating budgets.”</p><p> </p><p>The approach is also informed by NHS England’s duty to reduce inequalities to accessing services and the outcomes of care.</p><p> </p><p>These two aims are reflected in the target formula, which produces a target allocation or ‘fair share’ for each area, based on a complex assessment of factors such as demography, morbidity, deprivation, and the unavoidable cost of providing services in different areas. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/07/2019 answer text <p>The clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) are currently looking at different options as to how they can work together in the future to consolidate their current collaborative working arrangements. The emerging preferred option from the public, member, staff, partner and stakeholder engagement so far, is a single CCG in Durham, which would be co-terminus with the local authority and a single CCG in the Tees Valley (covering the Tees Combined Authority area) with a shared management arrangement.</p><p>The CCGs in Durham have been working together for some time with joint appointments since 2014 and ‘in-common’ meetings since May 2017. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2019 answer text <p>As in preparation for 29 March and 12 April, our ‘no deal’ contingency plans for 31 October cover the National Health Service, social care and the independent sector and covers all medicines, medical devices and clinical consumables, supplies for clinical trials, vaccines and countermeasures, and organs and tissues for transplants.</p><p>Specialist nutritional products including prescription foods and synthetic protein supplements are an important part of patient care throughout the health and social care sector. In recognition of this we have made this a specific area of focus within our preparedness arrangements.</p><p>The Department has continued to work closely with the devolved administrations, industry trade bodies including the British Specialist Nutrition Association and suppliers, the NHS and other key stakeholders. Prior to 29 March, the Department analysed the supply chains of 12,300 medicines, close to half a million product lines of medical devices and clinical consumables, vaccines used in national and local programmes, and essential non-clinical goods on which the health and care system relies. These analyses and assessments have been updated where necessary and will continue to be refined while a ‘no deal’ European Union exit remains a possibility. This work has informed our plans.</p><p>We are asking suppliers to analyse their supply chains and to make alternative plans if they anticipate disruption, including rerouting to alternative ports or using airfreight where necessary. The Department also does not hold information on the number of incidents relating to failure to follow guidance on disclosing interests.</p><p>The General Medical Council (GMC) is the independent regulator of doctors in the United Kingdom. All UK registered doctors are expected to meet the professional standards set out in the GMC's guidance ‘Good Medical Practice’.
