answer text
We continue to work very closely with participating States France, Greece and Italy, local authorities and delivery partners to relocate the specified number of 480 children under Section 67 of the Immigration Act 2016 as soon as possible. Over 220 children are already in the UK and transfers are ongoing.

We recently took the positive decision to remove the date criterion for the referral of unaccompanied children in Europe to be relocated to the UK un-der section 67. Participating States will now be able to refer the most vul-nerable children whose best interests are served by relocation to the UK, regardless of when they arrived into Europe. We expect this to increase the rate of referrals from participating States. Relocation of eligible children to the UK is also dependent on the availability of appropriate local authority care placements.
more like this

answer text
The Government does not want or expect a no deal outcome, and we have now reached an agreement, in principle, with the EU. The Prime Minister has been clear that, in any scenario, there is no question of asking EU citizens resident here to leave. On 21 September, the Prime Minister confirmed that, in the event of no deal, all EU citizens resident in the UK before 29 March 2019 will be able to stay, their rights will be protected, and they will be able to live their lives broadly as they do now.

On 30 October, the Prime Minister extended that commitment to citizens of Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein; and we are close to reaching an agreement with Switzerland. We will set out further details shortly, so those affected can have the clarity and certainty they need.
more like this

answer text
It is vital that the over three million non-UK EU citizens and their family members living in the UK understand how and when to apply under the EU Settlement Scheme.

Official communications throughout 2018 pointed EU citizens towards reliable sources of information. Millions of people have already seen UK government advertising encouraging people to visit GOV.UK for easy to understand information. EU citizens can also sign up for official email updates, over 300,000 people have so far signed up.

We are using all available channels to reach our audiences – like direct marketing, presentations, email updates, toolkits and webinars to name a few. At the end of March, a new national marketing campaign will encourage EU citizens to apply when the Scheme is fully open.

No-one will be left behind which is why we are also working in partnership with vulnerable group representatives, local authorities and other experts to make sure we reach everyone.
more like this
