The UK's decision to leave the EU will not change that.</p><p> </p><p>Delivering the deal negotiated with the EU remains the Government’s top priority, but as a responsible Government, we are accelerating no deal preparations to ensure the country is prepared for every eventuality.</p><p> </p><p>We are working closely with the creative and cultural sectors to understand the impacts of leaving the EU. Their recent report, The Impact of Creative Europe in the UK, concludes that the UK receives an average of €18.4 million a year and we understand that participants enjoy additional benefits such as networking and partnership opportunities.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The next generation of EU programmes are due to begin in 2021, and are currently under negotiation in the EU. The UK is exploring continued participation in EU programmes where it is in the EU and UK's mutual interest.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Political Declaration Setting out the Framework for the Future Relationship between the EU and the UK sets out (at paragraph 11) that the UK and EU will establish general principles, terms and conditions for the UK’s participation in Union programmes and that these should include a fair and appropriate financial contribution. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/04/2019 answer text <p>Our objective has always been to have a functioning statute book in place by Exit Day and to ensure that the most critical secondary legislation was made by this point.</p><p> </p><p>Each SI was carefully considered on a case-by-case basis to assess the impact of it not being in force on exit day, which informed scheduling decisions. These considerations and assessments have meant that the Government has been able to lay the critical secondary legislation required before we exit the EU.</p><p> </p><p>In the case of the Electronic Communications (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, the department accepted the recommendation of the European Statutory Instruments Committee that the SI should use the affirmative procedure, notwithstanding that this would mean the SI would be unlikely to come into force on exit day (as defined, at that time, as 29 March 2019). This was because it was not essential that the provision made by the SI be in force from exit day, principally because it made very minor technical changes or revoked EU law which would be redundant if retained on the UK's statute book.</p><p> </p><p>The laying of EU Exit SIs allows Parliament to fulfil its essential scrutiny role. The exact nature of this scrutiny, and the steps required before an SI completes its passage, is dependent on the type of SI. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/04/2019 answer text <p>The Government’s policy is to ensure world-class broadband and mobile connectivity across the UK. We are currently implementing a number of policies to achieve this in rural areas.</p><p> </p><p>£1.8 billion of public money is being invested to support vital improvements in superfast broadband coverage across the UK, including in rural areas. In December 2017, we met our target to extend superfast coverage to 95% of UK premises, and we expect to reach at least 97% by 2020.</p><p> </p><p>DCMS has also put in place legislation to create a new Universal Service Obligation (USO) giving every household and business the right to request a broadband connection of at least 10 Megabits per second (Mbps) by 2020, to ensure access to decent connectivity. Ofcom are now responsible for implementing the USO. Further details, including how to apply are expected to be announced in the summer. In addition, the Better Broadband Scheme provides voucher funding to UK premises that do not have access to affordable broadband service delivering at least 2Mbps.</p><p> </p><p>DEFRA has allocated £75 million of grant funding from the Rural Development Programme for England, targeted at helping to connect businesses with superfast broadband in hard to reach rural areas.</p><p> </p><p>Looking forward, we want to provide world class digital connectivity that is gigabit-capable, reliable, long-lasting and widely available across the UK. We have set ambitious targets - for 15 million premises to be connected to full fibre by 2025, with nationwide coverage by 2033. In the Future Telecoms Infrastructure Review, we set out our long term national strategy to meet these targets, and to ensure that rural and remote areas are not left behind. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/03/2019 answer text <p>To clarify, the figures specified in this question relate to the percentages of men and women at Grade A(U) who received end of year bonuses and does not include data relating to in-year bonuses. At Grade A (which has nearly 5 times as many staff members than grade A(U)), 14.84% of men received end of year bonuses compared to 18.06% of women.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Grade A(U) is the smallest of the delegated grades (other than grade D).
