answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/02/2023 answer text <p>Nuclear site licence holders must meet robust standards, including keeping plants safe against the effects of flooding throughout their lifetime.</p><p> </p><p>Site licensees are required to produce a fit for purpose assessment of flood risk to inform the detailed siting, design, management, and safety case requirements of any new nuclear facility, which is assessed by the UK’s independent regulators - the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and the environment agencies. The purpose of the EBSS is to support individuals facing increased energy costs this winter, and as such students in PBSA will not be eligible for the EBSS Alternative Funding. This funding would come from the up to £1.7bn of Government funding made available in the 2021 Spending Review for developing a large-scale nuclear project to final investment stage in this Parliament.</p><p> </p><p>Final approvals and details surrounding this investment will be announced in due course.
