<p>We are clear that Parliament must be representative, and that it is for parties
to ensure that they select a diverse range of candidates, and that their selection
processes are responsive to known barriers.</p><p> </p><p>However, the Suffrage Centenary
Fund supported around 320 projects across the country including events encouraging
nearly 800 women to stand for election, creating a pipeline of talent ready to enter
public life. The Fund also provides a valuable model for further consideration of
Government action in the future.</p>
