In accordance with EU regulations, Member States contribute 80% of customs duties collected on non-EU imports. The UK consequently retains 20% of these duties to cover the costs of collection. In 2017, the UK contributed £3.2bn in customs duties to the EU. HMRC is committed to tackling tax avoidance at all levels across all organisations, including public bodies. It works closely with public bodies to support them with their tax affairs and ensure they pay the right amount.<p> </p><p>It is possible for individuals to use disguised remuneration tax avoidance schemes without the participation or knowledge of the entity that engages them. Since its publication, NHS England has been working to deliver the Choice Commitment, as set out in the Government’s Mandate to the National Health Service. Through its National Programme Board for End of life Care, a range of activity has been coordinated and undertaken with all key system partners care and stakeholders to improve equity of access to, and experience of, palliative and end of life care. A progress report was published the following year on 21 September 2017.</p><p> </p><p>Key to reducing variation and delivering personalised care is ensuring that patients are identified as likely to be in their last year of life. This means their end of life care can be improved by personalising it according to their needs and preferences at an earlier stage. However, it is also vital that services are available to provide the care to people in the community and in their homes in a timely way. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/05/2019 answer text <p>‘Contained and controlled: The UK’s 20-year vision for antimicrobial resistance’ recognises the important role of vaccines in tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR).</p><p>The United Kingdom supports the delivery and uptake of vaccines internationally through UK Aid programmes, including the Global AMR Innovation Fund, the UK Vaccine Network, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and the Global Vaccine Action Plan. Through these programmes UK Aid supports initiatives to ensure that all low and middle-income countries have introduced one or more new or underused vaccines by 2020.</p><p>In addition, our expert advisory committees are considering how vaccines can be better employed to support the control of AMR in the UK.</p><p>More generally, vaccinations are a key part of the prevention strategy in the NHS Long Term Plan. To help increase immunisation uptake, NHS England will undertake a fundamental review of general practitioner vaccinations and immunisation standards, funding and procurement. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/05/2019 answer text <p>​​Lebanon's refugee crisis has been raised with the Lebanese Government by the UK Prime Minister, Department for International Development and the Foreign &amp; Commonwealth Office; most recently in March by former Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, Alistair Burt. Lebanon has shown enormous generosity in hosting an estimated 1.5 million Syrian refugees. The UK is supporting Lebanon to meet the humanitarian needs of both refugees and vulnerable Lebanese communities. We support the UN judgement that conditions in Syria are not yet conducive for return. Syrian authorities bear responsibility for improving conditions for return, including providing verifiable assurances on security, safety, and respect for international law.
