	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/11/2018 answer text <p>The Government recognises the need for additional investment in mental health services and the Institute for Public Policy Research report represents a valuable contribution to the debate.</p><p> </p><p>The Government announced its long term financial settlement for the National Health Service in June. This will represent an increase of £20.5 billion in real terms by 2023/24. The Government has asked the NHS to develop a long term plan which will set out a vision for the health service and ensure every penny is well spent. NHS England’s ‘Access and Waiting Time Standard for Children and Young People with an Eating Disorder: Commissioning Guide’ sets out guidance on establishing and maintaining eating disorder services.</p><p> </p><p>It states that eating disorder services for young people should follow the overarching principles for service design and development for children’s services required of local transformation plans. Abortions in England must be performed under the legal framework set by the Abortion Act 1967. We are not currently in a position to recommend that the home be approved as a class of place under Section 1(3)(a) of the Abortion Act in England. However, we are keeping the position under review, including reviewing the available evidence, and having regard to the ongoing legal proceedings concerning home use in Scotland.</p><p> </p><p>After taking misoprostol in a National Health Service hospital or approved independent sector clinic, women may choose to return to the privacy of their own home to complete the procedure. This includes the collection of data covering volume, expenditure and access to services.</p><p> </p><p>The National Wheelchair Data Collection, which is available as an online only resource, is available at the following link:</p><p><a href="https://www.england.nhs.uk/ourwork/pe/wheelchair-services/nhse-role/" target="_blank">https://www.england.nhs.uk/ourwork/pe/wheelchair-services/nhse-role/</a></p><p>Local clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) are responsible for commissioning the majority of wheelchair services for their local populations and equipment will be prescribed according to the patient’s clinical need following an assessment by an appropriately qualified practitioner or prescriber.</p><p> </p><p>To improve wheelchair commissioning, and support continuing work promoting personalisation in wheelchair services, NHS England has published a Model Service Specification for Wheelchair and Posture Services. Information on current waiting times for an autism assessment is drawn from the Public Health England report of the 2016 Self-Assessment Framework exercise.</p><p> </p><p>The Department continues to work with its partners to address long waiting times for an autism diagnosis. This includes work to ensure the inclusion of autism diagnosis and outcomes indicators in the Mental Health Services Dataset, with new robust data collected from 1 April 2018.
