	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/11/2018 answer text <p>The UK is a world leader in the fight to stamp out the brutal practice of forced marriage, with our joint Home Office and Foreign and Commonwealth Office Forced Marriage Unit (FMU) leading efforts to combat it both at home and abroad. We made forced marriage a criminal offence in 2014 to better protect victims and send a clear message that this abhorrent practice is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated in the UK. To date, there have been four convictions under the offence.</p><p>Due to the small numbers of referrals, charges and convictions this information is not available by geographic location to prevent the risk of victims being identified. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2019 answer text <p>The Home Office does not centrally hold the information requested.</p><p>From April 2017 the Home Office requested information on a voluntary basis from police forces on the number of individuals released on pre-charge bail following arrest, broken down by bail length.</p><p>Data received from 17 police forces has been published within the ‘Police powers and procedures, England and Wales’ statistical bulletin, for the 2017/18 financial year. UK Policing has issued guidance to support forces in the management of Foreign National Offenders to increase the number of overseas conviction checks submitted. This guidance was supported by extensive outreach campaigns to educate officers.</p><p>Individual force performance is one of the issues reviewed regularly at senior levels within the Home Office Foreign Criminality Programme.
