answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/10/2020 answer text <p>The government deeply regrets the unfortunate news of Cineworld’s temporary closure and is in direct and regular contact with the screen industry, including distributors and exhibitors, as well as through the BFI Screen Sector Task Force.</p><p>The government has supported cinemas through the VAT cut on tickets and concessions, business rates holiday and Bounce back loans. Independent cinemas are also eligible for a share of £30m from our unprecedented £1.57bn Culture Recovery Rund, and funding has started to be allocated already.</p><p>We recognise that cinemas need an incoming stream of new releases to show and we are supporting production by establishing a £500 million in a UK-wide Film and TV Production Restart Scheme to help get productions back up and running again. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/10/2020 answer text <p>We are aware that the events and exhibition industry, as well as other sectors, have been severely impacted by Government measures to control the spread of Covid-19.</p><p>Businesses can continue to access the Government’s UK wide support package. An additional £24 million investment from the government and the West Midlands Combined Authority to create a Trade, Tourism, and Investment Programme will ensure the city, region and the UK can take advantage of the economic opportunities hosting the Games provides. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/10/2020 answer text <p>Since 2017, Sport England’s Birmingham and Solihull Local Delivery Pilot has been delivered through The Active Wellbeing Society, the region’s Active Partnership, supporting over 600,000 older people, women, young families, BAME communities and children to enjoy the health, wellbeing, social and other benefits of being active.</p><p>Sport England is awarding £10,713,328 of National Lottery investment in the ‘Active Communities’ programme to promote being active across the region until 2024. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/10/2020 answer text <p>DCMS Ministers and officials are in regular discussions with both public health officials and rugby union authorities across a range of matters, including the admission of spectators to sports stadia.</p><p>We recognise the news that stadia would not be reopening from 1 October was disappointing to many fans and sports, particularly after all the work on test events and preparations. However we have to take difficult decisions that give us the best chance of containing the virus this winter. The safety and security of spectators and players is of paramount importance.</p><p>The Government will also continue to work closely with the Sports Ground Safety Authority (SGSA) and a whole range of sports to understand the latest thinking that might allow spectators to return.
