star this property answer text <br /><p>The Environment Agency's Long Term Investment Scenarios report represents the best currently available projections of potential long term costs to manage flood and coastal risk under a range of scenarios reflecting future uncertainties. It will be kept under review as any further evidence emerges.</p><br /><p>The report confirms that current Government investment plans to 2020, together with forecast local contributions, are in line with the level the Environment Agency’s assessment indicates is necessary to reduce overall flood risk <del class="ministerial">by 5%</del>.</p> more like this

The Environment Agency sent 42 pumps from other areas to the north of England including Cumbria, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. star this property answer text <p>Landowners are responsible for maintaining the bed and banks of watercourses on their land, and for clearing obstructions to the flow of water.</p><br /><p>Internal Drainage Boards (IDBs) and Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFAs) have powers under the Land Drainage Act 1991 to require the relevant landowners to maintain the flow of a watercourse.</p><br /><p>The Environment Agency, exercising its strategic oversight responsibilities, works closely with IDBs and LLFAs to ensure they are managing local flood risk effectively.</p> more like this
