	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2019 answer text <p>The agreement signed between the Department and Amazon is clear that none of the data generated will be shared with third parties; that it will not be used for selling products or making product recommendations to Amazon users; nor is it building any form of health profiles on Amazon customers.</p><p>This is a mutually beneficial collaboration that will enable greater numbers of people to access information accredited by the National Health Service, helping to put people in control of their own healthcare. The information being provided to users of Alexa devices asking questions is already freely available through the NHS website. It is an alternative mechanism for accessing professional NHS-verified health information that is already freely available on the NHS website.</p><p>The service provided by Amazon will not provide any form of diagnosis or advice. It is intended to provide NHS-verified information on the symptoms and treatments for different medical conditions using the exact wording from the NHS website.</p><p>When a response is given by Alexa to a question from a user, it will be preceded with the phrase, “according to the NHS website…”, which clearly differentiates it from any other source of information.</p><p>NHS Digital is working closely with Amazon to assess the effectiveness of the service. The Implementation Framework will assist local health systems, who will build on the engagement already taking place across the country, in developing their strategic Long Term Plan implementation plan over the summer. NHS England and Improvement will then publish a national implementation plan in the autumn.</p><p>The Department wants everyone to have the same opportunity for a long, healthy life. The Ageing Society Grand Challenge sets out an ambition to ensure that people can enjoy five extra healthy, independent years of life by 2035 while narrowing the gap between the richest and poorest. All remaining maternity provider trusts are expected to begin the accreditation process during 2019/20.</p><p> </p><p>Public Health England (PHE) delivers a broad programme of work which contributes to increasing initiation and maintenance of breastfeeding. This includes interventions within the Healthy Child Programme which provides opportunities to discuss starting and sustaining breast feeding.
