star this property answer text <p>The Office for National Statistics annually publish Civil Service employment statistics which includes a breakdown of the Department's officials split by ethnicity, gender, and disability status. <del class="ministerial">This information</del> <ins class="ministerial"><strong>Information on the Department's Senior Civil Servants (SCS) split by gender </strong></ins>can be found <ins class="ministerial">in Table 22 of the annual statistical bulletin</ins> on the Office for National Statistics website<ins class="ministerial">. Please note all published figures are rounded up to the nearest 10</ins>:</p><p><a href="https://www.ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabourmarket/peopleinwork/publicsectorpersonnel/datasets/civilservicestatistics" target="_blank">https://www.ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabourmarket/peopleinwork/publicsectorpersonnel/datasets/civilservicestatistics</a></p><p><ins class="ministerial"><strong>The proportion of SCS that were disabled at the same date was 6.6 per cent (less than 10 staff); and the proportion of SCS from a BAME background was 5.1 per cent (less than 10 staff).</strong></ins></p><p>Information about the socio-economic background of staff in my department is not held centrally and is therefore not available.</p>

star this property answer text <p>We are now considering carefully the unitary proposal on which the nine Dorset councils have been working, and which six of those councils have formally submitted, together with all the representations we have received to date, including the material submitted by East Dorset District Council under cover of a letter of 21 February from the Council Leader and by Christchurch Borough Council under cover of a letter of 22 February from the Council's Acting Leader<ins class="ministerial">,</ins><ins class="ministerial"> and from Purbeck District Council under cover of an email of 3 March from the Chief Executive</ins>.</p><p>Our intention is to reach and announce an initial decision as to how we are minded to proceed as soon as practicable. Once we have announced our initial decision, there will still be an opportunity for those interested to submit further representations, including any additional material which East Dorset District Council<ins class="ministerial">,</ins> <del class="ministerial">or</del> Christchurch Borough Council<ins class="ministerial">, or Purbeck District Council</ins> wishes to submit, before we take our final decision.</p>

star this property answer text <p>My Department has recently completed compliance testing of local authorities with the Local Government Transparency Code 2015, which entailed checking the websites of 103 authorities, a 25% sample of authorities to which the Transparency Code applies, for the data they are required to publish. We are currently analysing the initial results, including to ascertain whether where expected information has not been found on an authority’s website this is an accurate reflection of the authority’s circumstances or due to non-compliance.</p><p>Principal local authorities will not be required to comply with the provisions of the Local Audit and Accountability Act until 1 April 2018 [and Health and smaller bodies from 1 April 2017]. Compliance is currently monitored by Public Sector Audit Appointments Ltd, a transitional body appointed to manage existing audit arrangements until they expire.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Spending Review set out an ambitious plan so that health (including mental health) and social care are integrated across the country by 2020. My Department is working closely with the Department of Health and others on delivering this ambition. Every part of the country must have a plan for achieving integration in 2017, implemented by 2020.</p><p>The Government has provided a package of support of up to £3.5 billion to ensure councils are able to support some of their most vulnerable residents. This includes an extra £1.5 billion funding through the improved Better Care Fund, which will continue to bring together funding and services across health and social care to support the provision of integrated care for vulnerable people.</p> more like this
