	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/07/2019 answer text <p>As set out in the Political Declaration, the UK and the EU have agreed their intention to put in place a comprehensive air transport agreement (CATA). This will provide market access for UK and EU airlines, and close cooperation on aviation safety, security and air traffic management. Where market access beyond Europe is currently determined by EU-negotiated arrangements, the Withdrawal Agreement sets out that the EU will notify treaty partners and third countries that the UK is to be treated as an EU Member State for the purposes of its international agreements during the implementation period, including air service agreements.</p><p>In the event of a no deal both the UK and the EU have plans in place to ensure that travel will continue in the short term. The Department is a geographically-dispersed organisation employing around 90,000 staff across some 870 sites, delivering services directly to around 22 million customers. The table below shows the expenditure on taxis, 1<sup>st</sup> class rail and business class air travel for the years in question.</p><p> </p><p>The average spend per head on a taxi for 2013-14 was in the region of £1.67. Expenditure on taxis includes journeys to enable disabled members of staff to travel to and from work and respresents contractual spend and it does not include taxis claimed through expenses, as this could only be provided at disproportionate costs to the Department.</p><p> </p><p>The DWP introduced a restriction stopping staff travelling 1<sup>st</sup> class rail in 2011. Against an 09/10 baseline, Government has saved £1.4billion through centralising arrangements for common goods and services. <br><br>Since 2009/10 we hve reduced the use of taxis by over 30% and we have cut spending on first class rail travel by 92% since 2010/11.
