answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/12/2018 answer text <p>The £963 million capital investment in sustainability and transformation partnerships (STPs) announced on 7 December 2018 is part of £2.9 billion capital funding made available to the National Health Service by the Government from 2017-18 to 2022-23 to modernise facilities and improve patient care. It is separate from the £20.5 billion revenue funding increase for the NHS announced on 18 June 2018.</p><p> </p><p>The 75 successful STP schemes announced included 13 mental health/learning disability schemes with a total value of £208 million. This is 22% of the overall £963 million funding made available.</p><p> </p><p>One of those 13 schemes is in Liverpool with £6.961 million awarded for child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust for a 12 Bedded Tier 4 unit. This is for a purpose build facility to provide a North West centre of excellence for CAMHS inpatient services, supporting children with the most complex needs in the area.</p><p> </p><p>A second CAMHS scheme worth £2.807 million was awarded to Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for re-provision of current CAMHS Tier 4 inpatient provision at a new site. In total therefore £9.768 million has been awarded for CAMHS facilities. The Government is supporting the National Health Service with £1.6 billion of extra resource for 2018-19 to support accident and emergency and elective care performance. This includes understanding the financial implications of the UK exiting the EU for the National Health Service and wider care system, and, where appropriate, mitigation planning for any risks. The Department is working with its partners across Government, arms-length bodies and industry to ensure that all relevant parties are prepared for exiting the EU, and the Secretary of State sends regular communication to frontline NHS organisations about EU Exit preparations.</p><p> </p><p>It is in everyone’s interests to secure a good deal for both sides. We expect to secure a good deal. However, it is the duty of a responsible government to contingency-plan for all potential EU exit scenarios, and that is exactly what we are doing. Our plans are well developed and have been designed to provide the flexibility to respond to all scenarios and ensure the smoothest exit in all outcomes.
