star this property answer text <p>In June 2016, the number of staff employed in my Department was 2,384. In November 2018 the number of staff employed in my Department (latest workforce figures) was 6,214.</p><p>Most of the increase here (82%) is the result of the transfer of staff and functions into the Cabinet Office from other Government Departments under machinery of government changes.</p><p>As part of this Government’s commitment to transparency, my Department publishes workforce statistics each month. star this property answer text <p>Departments continually review workforce plans, reprioritise and assess changing needs, which includes identification and cessation of non-priority work where appropriate. We have accelerated our plans, and at the same time, the Civil Service as a whole is working to ensure that EU Exit Implementation is carried out to high quality without impacting public service delivery across the whole of government. The Cabinet Office has staff working on EU exit implementation for a range of scenarios in the interests of preparedness.</p><p> </p><p>Cabinet Office are currently looking to increase the numbers of staff trained to be part of the Civil Contingencies Secretariat to form a flexible pool to be used if and when required. This work is ongoing and the number of staff who will be part of this work is not yet available.</p> more like this

A draft Order in Council will be required to give effect to the recommendations contained in the reports. star this property answer text <p>The CSSF has now published two Annual Reports, 83 programme summaries for 2018/19 (in addition to the 62 programme summaries published for 2017/18) and 64 Annual Review summaries for 2017/18 (in addition to the 49 published for 2016/17.</p><p> </p><p>The CSSF is working towards meeting a “good” International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) rating by 2020 in line with the government’s commitment. There is a presumption to publish programme information for all CSSF programmes, and for 2018/19 83 out of our 90 programmes, had programme summaries published. The two key reasons why we may not be able to make programme documentation public are to protect national security and to protect the safety and security of beneficiaries, partners and partner governments.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The latest <a href="https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/727383/CSSF_Annual_Report_2017_to_2018.pdf" target="_blank">Annual Report</a> and programme summaries took on many of the suggestions received from stakeholders in the development sector. The Annual Report included a chapter on spend with break downs by ODA and non-ODA, department, region, theme and discretionary and non-discretionary budgets. In addition, Programme summaries broke down project spend by ODA/non-ODA splits.</p><p> </p><p>We are also working to publish more Official Development Assistance (ODA) spend information on Devtracker. We have published data for all FCO and DFID CSSF programmes for the last six quarters and are currently working on the next quarter.</p>

star this property answer text <p>We are only mid-way through the transition to Individual Electoral Registration (IER) and so the current electoral registers offer only an initial and partial snapshot of the registration landscape. Electoral statistics based on the last electoral registers published under the previous household system are available on the Office for National Statistics website:</p><p><a href="http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/pop-estimate/electoral-statistics-for-uk/2013/stb---2013-electoral-statistics.html" target="_blank">http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/pop-estimate/electoral-statistics-for-uk/2013/stb---2013-electoral-statistics.html</a></p><p> </p><p>ONS plans to publish statistics for England and Wales on 26 February based on the registers as at 1 December 2014 and on 16 April for the Scottish registers as at 2 March 2015.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government has provided funding of over £14 million between financial years 2013/14 and 2014/15 to support the costs of activities aimed at increasing the completeness and accuracy of the electoral register. We have also provided all Local Authorities and Valuation Joint Boards in Great Britain with a share of £30m resource funding, across this financial year and the previous financial year, to support them in making the transition to IER.</p>
