The scheme is now hugely successful.</del> <del class="ministerial">This year the</del> <ins class="ministerial">The </ins>Warm Home<ins class="ministerial">s</ins> Discount will<ins class="ministerial"> increase to</ins> give eligible low-income bill payers £140 money off their energy bills, helping over 2 million people including 1.4 million of Britain’s most vulnerable pensioners.</p><p>There has been consideration of the role of differentiated tariffs as part of the Hills Review of Fuel Poverty, and in the development of Fuel Poverty: Framework for future action and Cutting the cost of keeping warm, the consultation to prepare for a new fuel poverty strategy.</p><p>We continue to monitor the impacts of the Ofgem’s Retail Market Review and wider Government action to ensure consumers are treated fairly in the energy market and are better able to the choose a deal that suits them. However, the model does not in itself propose specific regulatory measures.</p><p>The Department continues to work on the analysis necessary in order to consider the appropriateness and potential design of any such measures. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2014 answer text <p>Assessing the safety of nuclear stations is a matter for nuclear sites and the independent nuclear regulator, the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR).</p><p>Under the terms of its licence, a licensee is required to produce a safety case to demonstrate the continued safe operation of its reactors to the satisfaction of ONR. The licensee at Hunterston B, EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Ltd, notified ONR of the cracking of two graphite bricks in the core of Hunterston B (Reactor 4) on 21 August 2014. The type of cracking identified is termed ‘keyway root cracking’ and it has been considered by the licensee in its safety case. ONR’s technical experts confirmed that the cracks identified were well within the safe limits of operation set within the safety case and that they do not pose an increased risk to the public. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2014 answer text <p>The downstream oil market is subject to UK competition law; where it is not the role for Government to set the price of petroleum products in an open competitive market.</p><p>In January 2013, the Office for Fair Trading published the results of a Call for Information to investigate whether or not competition problems existed in the road fuels market. This included investigating concerns that pump prices rise quickly when the wholesale price goes up but fall more slowly when it drops. The Government has set aside £1 billion to support the first CCS projects in the UK, and is investing around £100m now to take two innovative projects forward into the detailed engineering and design stage known as FEED (Front End Engineering and Design).</p><p>FEED studies for the White Rose project in Yorkshire and Peterhead project in Aberdeenshire are progressing well. The companies involved are anticipated to take investment decisions in late 2015, with Government taking decisions shortly after.
