	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/01/2019 answer text <p>As at 7 January 2019, 78 academies were in the process of transferring from one trust to another and all of these academies have a new sponsor identified.</p><p>Academies may transfer to other trusts in a range of circumstances. In some cases, Regional School Commissioners may intervene due to concerns about academy performance and in other cases, an academy may be moving trust as part of an agreed voluntary arrangement. In all cases, a new trust will have been identified before the transfer is approved. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/01/2019 answer text <p>The attainment of pupils, at the end of Key Stage 4, in 2017/18,[1] in all state funded mainstream schools, independent schools,[2] selective schools and non-selective schools is provided in the first attached table. Figures for 16-18 attainment in 2017/18 are provided in the second attached table.</p><p> </p><p>The Department no longer publishes attainment for comprehensive schools, instead schools are grouped by whether they have a selective admissions policy.</p><p> </p><p>The Department does not collect attainment data on children educated at home since there is no requirement to register children who are educated at home.</p><p> </p><p>The data published by the Department for independent and state funded schools at Key Stage 4, is not on an equivalent basis, and as such is not directly comparable. A number of independent schools choose to enter their pupils into unregulated international GCSEs, which do not count in the department’s published school performance table measures. The number of independent school pupils sitting ineligible qualifications affects the figures shown for independent school performance, as pupils are less likely to sit the required exams to complete the English Baccalaureate or Attainment 8. The Department does not publish a Progress 8 score for independent schools for similar reasons.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>[1] Figures are based on provisional data. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/01/2019 answer text <p>‘Staying Put’ has helped thousands of care leavers to transition more smoothly from care to living independently. It provides continuity of relationships and care arrangements, enabling care leavers to benefit from a stable and secure family setting, and to prepare for independence at a more gradual pace, rather than facing a ‘cliff-edge’ at age 18.</p><p>The government keeps the Staying Put policy under constant review, including through monitoring data from local authorities on take-up by young people, engagement with the sector, and reviewing information from Ofsted inspections of local authorities. Staying Put was also considered as part of the independent fostering review undertaken by Sir Martin Narey and Mark Owers, published in February 2018.</p><p>The latest data show that increasing numbers of care leavers are living in Staying Put arrangements. In the year ending March 2018, 55% of 18-year-olds chose to Stay Put, which is an increase of 4% on 2017. Furthermore, the data show that 31% of 19-year-olds, and 26% of 20-year-olds were still living with their former foster carers, which represent increases on the previous year.</p><p>In 2018 to 2019 the government provided £23.3 million to local authorities to implement Staying Put, with a further £23.77 million committed for 2019 to 2020. Decisions on funding beyond March 2020 will be subject to the outcome of the next Spending Review.</p><p>The government does not believe that introducing a national minimum allowance for Staying Put carers is the right way forward. Unlike children in foster care, young people in Staying Put arrangements are adults, and may be in work or claiming benefits. These financial sources can be used to contribute to the cost of providing the Staying Put arrangement, in a similar way that young people who are still living at home with their parents may contribute to the costs of running the household.</p><p>The government does not believe a foster carer’s approval should automatically lapse after 12 months if they are a Staying Put carer. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/01/2019 answer text <p>The Department collected data on the nationality, country of birth and proficiency in English of pupils via the school census between autumn 2016 and summer 2018. The data was collected for the purposes of educational research to help better understand the impact of migration on the school system. Understanding trends in migration and the associated needs in the school system, helps us ensure that all children in the UK, regardless of their nationality, have the best possible education.</p><p>The requirement for parents and guardians to provide information on their children’s nationality and country of birth was optional and the school census guidance expected schools to ensure that they were made aware of their right to decline to provide this data. Guidance also advised schools to inform parents that if they wished to retract any nationality or country of birth information returned in a previous census, they should inform their school of this decision. This would then be transferred to the Department and the Department would remove from its systems any information previously returned.
