This Government made manifesto commitments to tackle prejudice, racism and discrimination and is committed to making further progress.</p><p>The Government has considered the recommendations and conclusions in the Joint Committee on Human Rights report. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/04/2021 answer text <p>We are committed to fulfilling our obligations under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW); our interim report to the CEDAW Committee is due to be published and available online in the coming weeks. This report will set out the steps taken, in different parts of the UK, to implement four of the recommendations identified in 2019 by the Committee in its concluding observations.</p><p>The substantive provisions of CEDAW are already largely reflected in existing domestic legislation, such as the Equality Act 2010 and the Human Rights Act 1998. The UK has strong human rights protections within a comprehensive and well-established constitutional and legal system. However, as set out in the response to the Gender Recognition Act consultation, there are no plans to make changes to the 2004 Act.</p><p>Following a considerable amount of consultation with the public and representative organisations, the Government decided that the current provisions within the GRA allow for those that wish to legally change their sex to do so. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/02/2018 answer text <p>The Equality and Human Rights Commission has powers to investigate breaches of equality law.</p><p>Public bodies with the powers to investigate breaches of employment law are as follows:</p><p>• HM Revenue &amp; Customs on behalf of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy - breaches relating to the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage;<br>• The Employment Agency Standards inspectorate (part of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) - breaches relating to the domestic regulations applicable to employment agencies and employment businesses;<br>• The Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority - breaches relating to temporary labour in high risk sectors in the fresh food supply chain. The campaign concluded in June last year, and the Race Disparity Unit continues to work with other Government Departments, to address disparities highlighted by the Audit.
