answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/04/2023 answer text <p>There is a programme of resurfacing on the A1(M) as follows:</p><p><strong>A1(M) J1 – J6</strong></p><p>A1(M) J1-J2 – Minor repairs were completed mid-April, with further enhanced inspections beginning week commencing 24 April 2023. Larger scale resurfacing will be undertaken dependent on inspection outcome.</p><p><strong>A1(M) J14-J17</strong></p><p>NH have plans to undertake some resurfacing of the A1M northbound between J15 to J16 lane 1. Works are expected to be completed around August/September 2023</p><p><strong>A1(M) J8 – J10</strong></p><p>National Highways has plans to carry out minor surface repairs before the end of April. No plans for larger-scale resurfacing until the next roads investment period, 2025-2030.</p><p><strong>A1(M) J52 – J53</strong></p><p>Reprofiling Scheme starting 05/06/2023</p><p><strong>A1(M) J60 – J61 </strong></p><p>Climbing Lanes patching scheme work starting 18/09/2023</p><p><strong>A1(M) J61 – J62</strong></p><p>Hard Shoulder patching scheme work starting 30/10/2023</p><p> </p><p>This carriageway is inspected on a weekly basis and 10 potholes were repaired overnight on 18 and 19 April 2023 at <strong>J1 – J2</strong>. In the last 3 months, National Highways (NH) has carried out repairs and addressed defects on the A1(M) southbound approach to junction 7.</p><p> </p><p>National Highways has a comprehensive road inspection and maintenance programme to maintain safe roads and to reduce the potential for potholes and other surface defects.</p><p> </p><p>Further work will be done between 12 and 16 February. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/10/2022 answer text <p>The roads raised by the Right Honourable Gentleman are the responsibility of local highway authorities – Lincolnshire County Council, North Lincolnshire Council and the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. It is for those authorities to prioritise areas of their networks for improvements, and to seek funding, if required.</p><p> </p><p>A scheme to improve the A1079 at Wilberfoss is in the Department’s Major Road Network programme. Earlier this year, officials reviewed a strategic outline business case submitted by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and we are waiting for the Council to respond to a number of clarification questions. Once these are resolved, advice will be provided to Ministers on whether the business case for the scheme should be developed further. An additional scheme, the A164 Jock's Lodge Junction Improvement Scheme which would improve the A164/A1079 junction, is also in our programme of Local Authority promoted schemes. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/01/2024 answer text <p>The A10 Ely to Cambridge improvement scheme is being promoted by Cambridgeshire County Council and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority for consideration for potential funding as part of the Department’s Major Road Network / Large Local Majors (MRN / LLM) programme. It would not form part of the Government's Road Investment Strategy.</p><p> </p><p>The promoters are currently developing an Outline Business Case (OBC) for the scheme which they expect to submit to the Department in August for a decision on whether to approve it and provide conditional support for the scheme as part of the MRN/ LLM programme.</p><p> </p><p>The latest scheme cost estimate and completion date provided to the Department are £234 million and September 2030 respectively.
