In the 2021 National Bus Strategy, we affirmed our commitment to mandating such provision, and we intend to lay Regulations later this year. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/07/2022 answer text <p>We remain committed to making Accessible Information Regulations to require operators of local services in Great Britain to provide onboard audible and visible next stop and route and direction information to support disabled passengers.</p><p> </p><p>We intend to lay Accessible Information Regulations by the end of 2022 and to publish guidance for operators to support them to comply.</p><p> </p><p>These Regulations will apply across Great Britain, including in Derbyshire. Bus policy in Northern Ireland is generally a devolved matter.</p><p> </p><p>Additionally, Derbyshire County Council has been allocated indicative funding of up to £47 million to deliver on their Bus Service Improvement Plan. More and more services are now incorporating accessible information, but its availability remains inconsistent across the country, and the Department is determined to address this.</p><p> </p><p>The Department therefore intends, subject to final analysis, to introduce Accessible Information Regulations before the end of this year. This will ensure a rapid increase in the provision of better information for passengers, with the implementation timescale, also taking account of the impact on operators.
