star this property answer text <p>The National Infrastructure Pipeline last published in December 2014 captured the significant current and upcoming infrastructure projects and programmes, including Transport, within the UK. The Pipeline lists 270 infrastructure projects related to transport of which 27 have expected start of works/construction dates in 2015.</p><p> </p><p>Since publishing the National Infrastructure Pipeline, projects and programmes have continued through the development cycle with both construction starts and completions taking place. Network Rail was reclassified into the public sector during the 2014/15 financial year and its Capital spending is reported in full in AME from that year onwards. For earlier years, the department's Capital grant to Network Rail (which funded some but not all of its spending) was reported in DEL. The approximate effect of this change was to increase reported spending by between £2.5bn and £3.0bn per year from 2014/15 onwards, relative to the previous arrangements. <br> 2. Figures for 2015/16 are published budgets for the year. star this property answer text <p>UK Government investment in projects such as HS2, electrification of the Great Western Main Line and the £350 million pledged for infrastructure as part of the Stormont House Agreement will benefit the UK.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, the Devolution settlements provide the funding and the powers to enable the respective governments to decide on appropriate infrastructure investment in their administrations.</p> more like this
