This includes a reminder that local authorities need to be mindful of the requirements of equalities legislation, ensuring, for example, that in redesigning and reallocating road space they take careful account of the impacts this may have on disabled people. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/11/2020 answer text <p>Since 2010, we have spent c£1.93bn on rebuilding London Bridge, Farringdon, City Thameslink and Blackfriars stations, as part of the Thameslink Programme. Ten new stations are being built (or significantly expanded) as part of the Crossrail Programme, in addition to a number of other stations that are being enhanced. The cost of Crossrail station improvement works to the taxpayer will be finalised when works are complete. In addition, c£144m has been spent on other station improvements in London through the National Station Improvement Programme, the Access for all Programme and the New Stations Fund. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/12/2020 answer text <p>In October government agreed with the rail industry that, where a passenger with an Advance ticket is prevented from travelling due to changes to local or national restrictions, change of journey administration fees will be waived and, if they purchased their ticket directly from a train operator, they will be able to apply for a Rail Travel Voucher valid for 12 months. It has no immediate implications for DfT’s spending limits, and therefore none for funding of railways in the Devolved Administrations.</p><p> </p><p>The final profile and exact funding arrangements for the reversing Beeching Fund have not yet been agreed. The largest sub-sector of the portfolio is in street lighting, with 31 projects. The majority, 41 of our 56 PFI projects, are contracted by Local Authorities. The DfT’s PFI Portfolio has a total Capital Value of £6.97bn. The PFI portfolio carries a total public sector whole-life Unitary Charge liability of £33.7bn. The whole-life direct liability to DfT is £29.5bn as PFI credits for local authority projects are topped up locally to meet the unitary charge payments. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/10/2021 answer text <p>The Low Ashyard Bridge is listed on the National Highways (NH) website as being on hold as it falls within the pause across the Historical Railways Estate. However, National Highways intend to strengthen this structure to maintain access – the route under the bridge is currently used for active travel (the Chris Hoy Cycleway).</p><p>In 2010, due to issues with the strength of the bridge, the local highway authority imposed a 7.5 tonne weight limit on the road over the bridge. The bridge is inspected annually by the Historical Railways Estate team.</p><p>In December 2019 a detailed examination of the structure found that the timber bearings had failed. As a result, temporary props were installed in 2020 to ensure the routes over and through the bridge remained open and safe to use.</p><p>National Highways is in discussions with Ayrshire Roads Alliance about the future of this bridge.
