star this property answer text <p>Bristow Group Inc is an indirect shareholder of our search and rescue helicopter provider, Bristow Helicopters Limited. Bristow Group issued cautionary guidance to investors on 11 February about a material weakness observed in the internal controls over its financial reporting going back to 31 March 2018.</p><p> </p><p>Bristow Group intends to release further information on its financial position at the end of 2018 to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (US SEC), no later than 19 February 2019. An assessment of Bristow Group’s financial position will be made following the release of its quarterly results to the US SEC.</p><p> </p><p>These current difficulties are contained within Bristow Group and do not affect the Department for Transport’s contract with Bristow Helicopters Limited.</p><p> </p> more like this

The safety of those travelling on offshore helicopter operations remains a priority.</p><p>As the UK’s aviation safety regulator, the CAA monitors all aspects of the operations of offshore helicopter companies and any risks to safe operation through its safety oversight programme. This includes the commercial environment and its potential impact on safety.</p><p>Impairment charges are a commercial matter for individual helicopter operators. star this property answer text <p>The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is committed to ensuring that North Sea helicopter flying is as safe as possible and the CAA’s comprehensive safety review in 2014 resulted in further improvements to offshore helicopter safety standards. The post implementation review is being led by the CAA’s Safety Assurance team, supported by experts from across the CAA including from its airworthiness, flight operations and policy teams.</p><p> </p><p>The CAA plans to complete the review prior to the 3rd quarter of 2019.</p> more like this
