That is why it is in the interests of both sides to maintain trading links once the UK has left the EU; to protect jobs and our economy while allowing us to honour the referendum and realise the opportunities of Brexit.</p><p>The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) publish estimates on trade in employment, including on the amount of jobs linked to exports. Their most recent data from 2011 estimates that 3.4 million jobs were linked to UK exports across the EU. However, it is the responsible thing to prepare for all eventualities. We have therefore ensured we are ready to cooperate with European partners in areas such as security, air transport and medicines, and that the whole UK family, including Gibraltar and the Sovereign Base Areas, will be prepared in the event of a 'no deal'. In the event of a no deal, the UK will lose access to this system. To prepare for this scenario, the Government has developed the UK’s own import notification capability.</p><p>This capability was in place for exit on 12 April and will be in place for exit on 31 October. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/07/2019 answer text <p>The Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union has regular discussions with Cabinet colleagues on preparations for the UK’s departure from the European Union.</p><p>In the event that the UK leaves the EU without a deal, UK nationals undertaking paid work such as tours in the EU should check with the Embassy of the countries they plan to travel to for what kind of visa or permit, if any, they will need. The FCO provides advice on their country-specific travel pages online. Information about entry requirements for those intending to work or provide a service in an EU Member State is listed on our <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/providing-services-to-eea-and-efta-countries-after-eu-exit" target="_blank">advice pages for UK businesses</a> on gov.uk.</p><p>The Political Declaration agreed between the UK and the EU acknowledges the importance of mobility for cultural cooperation. The UK is seeking to agree reciprocal mobility arrangements that would facilitate the temporary mobility of self-employed professionals and employees providing services. The no deal scenario is based on an assessment of the average trade barriers that a country trading on WTO terms faces. However, even if the full future relationship is not in place by the end of the implementation period, the Government’s objective is to ensure that the backstop is replaced by alternative arrangements. Both the Withdrawal Agreement and the Political Declaration emphasised the shared determination of the UK and the EU to replace the backstop with an agreement on alternative arrangements.</p><p>In anticipation, the Government intends to establish three domestic advisory groups: an expert group on trade and customs, a business and trade union group, and a parliamentary group. These groups will engage widely, including with the institutions established under the Belfast Agreement, to ensure the UK’s input is informed by a broad and inclusive range of voices domestically. In addition to regular statements by the Prime Minister, DExEU Ministers have given evidence to a broad range of committees on 49 occasions and have made 187 written statements to both Houses.</p><p>In addition, the Government published a robust, objective assessment of how exiting the EU could affect the economy of the UK in November 2018, as part of its commitment to providing Parliament with appropriate analysis. In addition, all legislation is accompanied by explanatory documents.
