We will not be bound by the EU’s Common External Tariff or participate in the Common Commercial Policy. But we do want to ensure that cross-border trade with the EU is as frictionless and seamless as possible. She told other EU leaders that we could give people the certainty they want straight away, and reach such a deal now. Resolving this challenge as soon as possible is the right and fair thing to do. Other EU leaders recognise the importance of reaching a reciprocal deal. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/12/2018 answer text <p>We have been clear that, under the Withdrawal Agreement, EU citizens in the UK on a pathway to settled status will continue to be able to access benefits after the end of the implementation period on the same basis that they can access them now. This broadly means equal access for workers and the self-employed and limited access for those not working. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/12/2018 answer text <p><strong></strong>We have agreed a fair financial settlement with the EU as part of the draft Withdrawal Agreement which reflects the UK paying its share of the outstanding EU commitments made during the period of our membership. Our estimate, based on reasonable assumptions and publically available data, falls within the range of £35bn-£39bn, and the National Audit Office confirmed in April 2018 that these assumptions were reasonable.</p><p>Details of the basis on which that figure was reached can be found in the draft Withdrawal Agreement, published on November 14th, 2018.
