	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/11/2018 answer text <p>The Government recognises the hard work of the Munitions workers and is extremely grateful for their input and sacrifices made during both world wars often working in harsh conditions, to ensure that our soldiers were well equipped during the war effort.</p><p> </p><p>There are no plans to introduce a medal for munitions workers who served during the world wars. A commemorative badge is available thanks to the support of the BAE Systems Heritage Department and the efforts of the Munitions Workers Association. This is similar to those badges given to those who worked in the mines during the second world war – the so-called Bevan Boys. This is why the Government committed to safeguard the post office network and protect existing rural services. The overall number of post offices across the UK remains at its most stable in decades with over 11,500 branches thanks to significant Government investment of over £2 billion since 2010.</p><p> </p><p>The management of the Post Office network is an operational matter for the Post Office Limited who are responsible for maintaining the network of branches and achieving the accessibility criteria set by Government. The Post Office does not have a branch closure programme, rather they are franchising branches to ensure services remain in communities and are actively looking for areas of the country where there is a demand for Post Office services, with over 350 local branches opened since April 2017 in new locations. Over the last few years, as part of the Post Office’s programme to modernise their branch network, the Post Office have increased opening hours at almost 6,000 branches, offering in excess of 200,000 additional opening hours overall. Nearly 4,000 branches are now open on Sundays.</p><p> </p><p>When the Post Office franchises a branch to a new partner, they always ensure that the opening hours are at least equal to those in the existing branch. This agreement on hours is formalised in the Post Office’s contract with the partner. However, in the vast majority of cases, opening hours are extended on Saturday afternoons and often branches will open earlier on weekdays and on Sundays. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/02/2019 answer text <p>This Government does not hold estimates of the total value of wages unlawfully unpaid in the last year.</p><p> </p><p>Through enforcement of National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage (NMW) law over the 2017/18 financial year, HM Revenue and Customs identified over £15.6 million in wage arrears, owed to over 200,000 workers. Government has increased HMRC’s enforcement budget again to a record high of £26.3 million for 2018-19.</p><p>Any worker who feels they have been underpaid should contact the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (Acas). Acas provides free and impartial information and advice on all aspects of workplace relations and employment law. We continue to invest heavily in minimum wage enforcement, increasing the budget to over £25 million for 2018/19, up from £13 million in 2015/16.
