	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/03/2019 answer text <p>DFID’s 2018 education policy ‘Get Children Learning’ commits the UK to tackling multiple sources of disadvantage simultaneously in our contribution to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4. Building on the advances made at previous international events such as the UK-hosted Global Disability Summit in 2018, we will continue to press other governments and international organisations to address intersecting inequalities to ensure marginalised children can access the quality education they deserve. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/10/2017 answer text <p>UK humanitarian aid is classified using standards defined by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, Development Assistance Committee (OECD DAC) so they can be comparable across the international donor community. These classifications cover five broad areas of humanitarian activity:</p><ul><li>Material relief, assistance and services (which includes Education)</li><li>Emergency food aid</li><li>Relief coordination, protection and support</li><li>Reconstruction, relief and rehabilitation</li><li>Disaster prevention and preparedness</li></ul><p>The amount of UK humanitarian aid spent specifically on education is therefore not held centrally, and could only be obtained at disproportionate cost.</p><p>The OECD DAC are currently finalising the 2017 updates to the humanitarian codes. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/06/2016 answer text <p>Providing a good quality education for all children, especially girls and those who are most disadvantaged is a priority for the Department. The UK supported 11 million children in school between 2010 and 2015. We have again committed to support 11 million children in the poorest countries gain a decent education by 2020. The UK has specifically committed to support 6.5 million girls in school by 2020. Our flagship Girls Education Challenge is ensuring that up to 1 million marginalised girls, progress through school with improved learning outcomes.
