	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/12/2020 answer text <p>‘COVID-19: our action plan for adult social care’, published in April, was clear that adult social care providers should pay staff who are self-isolating their normal wages. We reiterated this expectation in the ‘Adult social care: our COVID-19 winter plan 2020 to 2021’, when we also announced that we are providing an additional £546 million to extend the Infection Control Fund. The Infection Control Fund can be used to cover the costs of paying staff to self-isolate.</p><p> </p><p>We are working with local government, stakeholders and care providers to ensure as many providers as possible are following our guidance. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/07/2021 answer text <p>While no specific assessment has been made, a recent study from Public Health England looked at more than one million people in at-risk groups, which found that people who are immunosuppressed are significantly better protected from symptomatic infection following the second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.</p><p> </p><p>Studies are also underway looking at which groups are less protected through vaccination, which may include groups with weakened immune systems and those with cancers of the blood. The findings will improve our knowledge of the levels of risk. We are currently trialling visitor testing and plan to roll this out nationally to allow more visiting opportunities.</p><p>In supported living settings, managers and carers should suggest safe ways to host visitors, risk assessing individual settings and vulnerabilities, and considering the risks to others in shared accommodation.
