star this property answer text <br /> <br /><p>Since 2011, the Department of Health has provided our delivery partners, NHS Blood and Transplant and Anthony Nolan, a total of £16 million in additional, new funding to improve stem cell transplantation services in the United Kingdom. A further £3 million investment was announced in March 2015.</p><br /><p>The Government remains committed to improving stem cell transplantation services and doing all we can to help those in need of a transplant to find a suitable donor. The report ‘Destination Cure – arriving at a better future’ from Anthony Nolan provides a timely contribution to this work.</p><br /> more like this

star this property answer text <br /> <br /><p>The Department has commissioned Mind to provide an evaluation of the Crisis Care Concordat. This is expected in January 2016.</p><br /><p>The principles of care set out in the Crisis Care Concordat have already helped to achieve a reduction in the use of police cells being used as places of safety for people in mental health crisis who have been detained by police officers under section 136 of the Mental Health Act. Along with full time trainees, they will benefit from the strengthened controls on hours worked and also will benefit from an increase in base pay. Pay in future will be determined on fair pay principles related to the stage of training that junior doctors have reached. star this property answer text <br /> <br /><p>We are advised by NHS England that Goodwood Court Medical Practice in Hove closed in June 2015 after the Care Quality Commission (CQC) took immediate action to remove the practice’s registration with the regulator. This was in order to protect the safety and welfare of patients following the findings of a CQC inspection at the practice.</p><br /><p>NHS England subsequently agreed an interim contract with doctors from the Charter Medical Centre to ensure ongoing care could be provided to affected patients following the closure of the Goodwood Court practice.</p><br /><p>The current arrangements with Charter Medical Centre, for the care of former Goodwood Court patients, are due to come to an end on 31 March 2016.</p><br /><p>NHS England has recently written to patients and local stakeholders asking for their views which will help to inform future care for patients of Goodwood Court.</p><br /> more like this
