	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/06/2019 answer text As we made clear alongside Troika partners (US and Norway) on 4 June, we condemn the violent attacks by Sudanese security forces against peaceful protestors in Sudan last week, which left many civilians dead or injured. The Foreign Secretary reiterated this in his statement on 6 June, which also called for the full restoration of the internet and freedom of the media. The UK has called for the human rights of all Sudanese people to be respected and for the resumption of the political process with the protestors and the opposition, and an agreed transfer of power to a civilian-led government, as demanded by the Sudanese people, in a swift, orderly and peaceful manner. These representatives are affiliated to a number of different organisations, including the People's United Democratic Movement in Swaziland and the Swaziland Democratic Party. These meetings have historically taken place more regularly in Swaziland than in South Africa. The FCO is not notified of the arrest of all UK nationals overseas. The UK currently contributes financially to the EU's training mission in CAR and we remain fully supportive of ongoing EU engagement, which plays a valuable role in training the armed forces of CAR to help bring peace and stability to the country. The UK is a leading contributor to the UN Peacekeeping Mission in CAR – around £40 million for the current mandate. Our High Commissioner in Ghana has made representations to the Government of Ghana, including through a statement made alongside other European Union Heads of Missions in Ghana. We continue to urge the authorities to ensure that there is a full investigation into the matter. As the Foreign Secretary set out on 18 January those responsible must face justice. Our High Commissioner is closely monitoring events following the beating and detention of a Ghanaian Times journalist, Malik Sullemana in 2018. We are in contact with the Ghanaian Times and the Ghanaian Police, and have urged the authorities to conclude their investigation into the matter.</p><p>The UK is committed to the promotion of media freedom and the protection of journalists worldwide. The Foreign Secretary has launched an international campaign to end the climate of impunity and mobilise a consensus behind the protection of journalists. The British Government calls on the Government of Cameroon to take urgent action now to address the crisis in the Anglophone regions. We hope that President Biya will reach out to all sections of Cameroonian society and work to build confidence and trust. It is crucial for all parties to engage in a peaceful and structured process leading to constitutional reforms, as previously set out by the President, and avoid excessive use of force. The UK will continue to work alongside the international community to encourage and support efforts to resolve the Anglophone crisis.
