The EU development programme for Bhutan from 2007-2013 was €14 million and focused on support for renewable natural resources and enhancing good governance. The 2014-2020 programme is a €42 million package focused on strengthening civil society, supporting local governance and developing sustainable rural livelihoods by enhancing food and nutrition security and generating employment opportunities. <br><br>There was no bilateral spend in financial years 2013-14 or 2014-15. In financial year 2012-13 the UK spent: <br><br>• £15,000 on a high-level visit to the UK headed by the Bhutanese Chief Justice. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/10/2016 answer text <p>An early assessment suggested that progress on the pilot of the project to respond to the needs on victims of sexual violence was not as swift as we had hoped but that lessons were being learned. We are discussing with the African Union (AU) on how we can better coordinate efforts to address sexual violence in the Central African Republic (CAR).</p><p>The UK Government will continue to work with the AU and UN to support their efforts to prevent and respond to sexual and gender-based violence in CAR. We have repeatedly urged for a restrained security response, an independent investigation into allegations of human rights abuses and the immediate resumption of humanitarian access.</p><p>During his recent visit to Burma, the Foreign Secretary, my Rt Hon. Friend the Member for Uxbridge and South Ruislip (Boris Johnson), met State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi as well as military-appointed government ministers, and expressed our deep concerns about the current situation in Rakhine. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, my Hon. We continue to raise our concerns with the Burmese Government.</p><p>As the Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict, I visited Burma in November 2016 and raised our concerns about conflict-related sexual violence during my meetings with Government Ministers. A total of £439,954 has been spent since 2014, including £204,012 in 2014-2015, £165,857 in 2015-2016 and £70,091 in 2016-2017.</p><p>Expenditure on this initiative for 2017-2018 is expected to be £325,000.
