The number of BCG doses made available for badger vaccination was limited in 2017 due to a global shortage and the need to prioritise supplies for human vaccination. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/01/2019 answer text <p>Landowners and private groups across England can apply to Natural England for a licence to vaccinate badgers against TB. Animal &amp; Plant Health Agency (APHA) provides training for those who wish undertake such vaccination and Defra provides financial support for projects within the Edge Area under the Badger Edge Vaccination Scheme (BEVS).</p><p>BEVS, relaunched in 2018 following a global vaccine shortage, provides matched funding and training for groups that want to take part. Three groups were successful with their applications in 2018. On 13 September 2018 we re-opened the scheme and asked for expressions of interest from those wishing to apply to vaccinate from 2019. The application process closes on 25 January 2019.</p><p>A long-standing research programme at APHA to identify an oral vaccine and a palatable bait in which to deliver it is also ongoing. An efficacy study is currently in progress, with results due later this year.</p><p>We are currently considering the report of the TB Strategy review, conducted by a team led by Professor Sir Charles Godfray, the scope of which includes badger vaccination. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/02/2019 answer text <p>Digital advertising is a cost-effective way for the government to recruit nurses, promote blood donations, find out about pensions and all the other important information the public needs to be aware of.</p><p>The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has spent £14,955.67 on Facebook and £63,865.00 on Instagram promoted activity since 2014.</p><p>The figures set out in the table below do not include any recruitment promotion as there is no record held centrally. If we were to provide this data, it would involve working with 24 recruitment leads across Defra, therefore could only be obtained at disproportionate cost. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/01/2019 answer text <p>Forestry Commission statistics published as part of their Corporate Performance Indicators on 13 November 2018 indicate that at the end of September 2018 at least 15.2 million trees have been planted since April 2010 with government support, equivalent to approximately 12,900 hectares of woodland. Annual figures are provided in the same report.</p><p> </p><p>A separate report has been produced by the Forestry Commission using the best available information <em>New Planting of Trees Supported by the Rural Development Programme for England, and other forms of Government Support; April 2010 to September 2018. </em>This gives a breakdown of government supported planting by region, local authority area and parliamentary constituency. A draft copy of this report, which is subject to further review, has been placed in the library. The Regulations make no distinction between online and high street retailers.</p><p> </p><p>If anyone receives a product they believe to be “over packaged”, they should report it to Trading Standards who are responsible for enforcing these regulations.</p><p> </p><p>As part of the recently published Resources and Waste Strategy we have committed to exploring changes to the packaging producer responsibility scheme. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/01/2019 answer text <p>The UK has ambitious targets in place to reduce emissions of five damaging air pollutants (ammonia, nitrogen oxides, non-methane volatile organic compounds, fine particulate matter and sulphur dioxide) by 2020 and 2030. We have put in place a £3.5 billion plan to reduce harmful emissions from road transport, and we will end the sale of new conventional diesel and petrol cars and vans by 2040. Our new and world leading Clean Air Strategy, published on 14 January, focuses on broader emissions beyond road transport and sets goals working towards World Health Organisation recommendations on particulate matter emissions – going further than the EU requires.</p><p> </p><p>Air pollution has reduced significantly since 2010 – emissions of toxic nitrogen oxides have fallen by almost 27%, and are at their lowest level since records began.
