DecaBDE has not been produced in the UK since the late 1990s. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/02/2017 answer text <p>The regulation of Chemicals is essential to manage the risk of harmful chemicals entering the environment or adversely affecting human health. Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 covering the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is the regulation for EU chemicals management and will continue to apply while the UK remains a member of the EU.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>As part of the exit negotiations the Government will discuss with the EU and Member States how best to continue cooperation in the field of chemicals regulation in the interests of both the UK and the EU. The Great Repeal Bill will also convert current EU law into domestic law wherever practical, giving consumers and businesses as much certainty as possible. This includes laws relating to chemicals. The UK is strongly committed to the effective and safe management of chemicals.
