star this property answer text <p>As a Trading Fund (up to 31 March 2017) or Executive Agency (from 1 April 2017) of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Dstl is funded principally by revenue from customers rather than direct Government funding. Since 1 April 2017 capital expenditure only has been funded directly from MOD budget allocation.
